The importance of equine nutrition is vastly overlooked by most horseowners and sadly many conditions are caused and/or exacerbated by inadequate nutrition. Keep in mind that the goal of feed & supplement manufacturers is to sell their product, not necessarily to provide your horse with what he needs.
Providing your horse with optimum nutrition doesn't have to cost you an arm & a leg.
The trick is knowing & providing your horse with what he needs. To do that, you need to know what your feed contains in the way of protein, digestible energy, minerals & vitamins.
This is where I come in. I determine what is lacking in your horse's diet & tell you how to address the deficiencies & balance the excesses. Pretty simple, really.
My goal is not to sell you any particular product but to help you find the best & most economical way to provide your horse with what he needs for his level of work,  age & medical conditions.
What people don't know about minerals, is that it's not just about meeting minimum requirements. Some minerals compete with each other, so it's about balancing those minerals so that they are better absorbed & utilized.
Because of my personal experiences, my specialties are diets for horses at maintenance or light work and horses with Cushing's disease (PPID), Insulin Resistance, EPSM/PSSM &  Senior horses. Of course, balancing diets for healthy horses is always fun!

     Tip of the Month:
Did you know that Catnip essential oil is ten times more effective at repelling mosquitoes than DEET? Just add 10-12 drops to your regular herbal fly spray.
